Big Reminder has just received a BIG UPDATE.
You can now "subscribe" to both your public and private calendars in an offline application. This means that you, or your friends and family can "subscribe" to your calendar in a package like iCal on the Mac, or Mozilla Calendar on a PC. When you change, add or delete an event in Big Reminder, all of your subscribers calendars will automatically update.
This feature works for both your public and private calendars. Private calendar subscriptions will require your Big Reminder username and password to complete.
For further information on this feature, plus compatible applications, log into your events panel, and click on "Subscribe to iCalendar"

Big Reminder are proud to present their newest feature - Public Calendars.
This feature is set to revolutionise the way people use Calendars on their web-sites.
Big Reminder now allows you to set any event to be a public event, which can have their own private and public descriptions. These events can be viewed from Big Reminder by anyone who has your username only (no password required), in list format, or calendar format.
Even better, the public calendar is available as a personalised RSS feed, and can by syndicated onto a users own web-site, with just 2 lines of code. This means that anyone is now able to publish their own calendar on their own web-site, without any extra software, or web-space overheads. The calendar is pulled in from the Big Reminder server, as it is needed, meaning it will always be up to the second, up to date.

We have added the facility to set your time zone in Big Reminder.
This is important because if we sent all reminders to everyone at the same time, there would be several problems. The first is that we would be giving the servers a very heavy load all in one go, so spreading it out will prevent any server downtime, but more importantly we want your reminders to arrive with you at the correct time. If we sent reminders at midnight GMT, then those people in time zones of +12 hours, would receive their reminders half way through the day.
If you are a current member, then you can set your timezone by editing your profile, after you have logged on. All future members, will be asked for their timezone at registration.

Big Reminder is currently in it's final testing stages.
We have our testers giving us daily feedback, with last minute tweaks and updates, dotting the i's, and crossing the t's. It is a very exciting time, as we near our launch date. The data structure is now in place, and so any additions or changes you make to your "My Memory Zone" will stay when the site launches.
Please let everyone you think would benefit from this service, know about Big Reminder. It is a free service at the moment, and will always be free for everyone who signs up NOW.
